Barrett offers a two-day armorer course that equips civilian owners, gunsmiths,
law enforcement officers and military personnel with the knowledge necessary to
keep their Barrett rifles in top operating condition. This course, taught by Barrett’s
own experienced instructors, covers operational theory and in-depth maintenance
procedures. The armorer course consists of the complete disassembly/assembly of
the rifle, factory recommended maintenance, and headspace gauging. Scheduled courses
cost $500 per person and are held at Barrett’s new factory in a dedicated
and spacious classroom. To inquire about the cost and availability of instructors

with certification as a Barrett Armorer that will be valid for two years.
Course Topics:
• Detailed assembly/disassembly
• Proper cleaning and lubrication
• Rifle function and troubleshooting
• Field maintenance
• Gauging techniques
The classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and generally last seven hours per day. By request,
trainees may use rifles supplied by Barrett or may bring their own. All tools
will be supplied by Barrett and note taking material is suggested but not required.
